Angela Becker, BSA, EA
Accountant & Enrolled Agent

Angela, Melody’s daughter, naturally followed in her mother’s footsteps. She graduated from North Carolina State University in 2007 with her Bachelor’s in Accounting and became an Enrolled Agent in early 2014. Angela makes it her priority to have open communication with clients and strives to make taxes not intimidating to the client. Angela is an active member with the National Association of Enrolled Agents, the North Carolina Society of Enrolled Agents, and the National Society of Accountants.

When Angela isn’t crunching numbers, she can be found traveling or enjoying the outdoors with her husband, Brandon. Brandon has been by Angela’s side since 2001 and loves spending so much time with him, they work together!

    

Brandon Becker, EA
Payroll Specialist & Enrolled Agent

Brandon has been Number Crunchers, Inc.’s payroll specialist since 2010 and naturally became an Enrolled Agent in early 2020. Brandon has exceptional attention to detail and always goes the extra mile for our clients to ensure ultimate customer satisfaction. Brandon is a man of many talents. Not only does Brandon have his Associates in Business Administration but he also holds a Bachelor’s in Sociology with a minor in Political Science from North Carolina State University! Brandon is an active member with the National Association of Enrolled Agents, the North Carolina Society of Enrolled Agents, and the National Society of Accountants.

When Brandon isn’t crunching numbers, he can be found enjoying music, going outdoors, having philosophical discussions, or (his favorite activity) gobbling down Angela’s cooking!

 

Melody Phelps, MSA, EA
Accountant & Enrolled Agent

Melody started her work career as an enlisted Navy sailor. After her feet were dry and her children were old enough, she graduated from East Carolina University with her Master’s in Accounting in 1998. She opened Number Crunchers with the goal of changing the stereotype of Accountants as being “stiff”, non-approachable and not personable. With encouragement from Angela, Melody became an Enrolled Agent in early 2014.

Melody has retired but still "crunches numbers"every now and then. Most days, Melody can be found at the beach boating with her husband, Scott, and their two dogs, Tiki the yorkie and Lulu the chihuahua and just "livin' the life" as a beach bum!
